Support to live the way you want to live

Just homes care understands that it is important for you to choose where you want to live and who you want to live with. You may choose to live on your own or you may choose to live with others in a shared house. You may need support for a few hours per week to 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

Just Homes Care has various accommodations available in the Pontefract and Wakefield area but if any of these are not suitable to you we can help you find a home.

We support people with a variety of needs including people with a learning disability, Autism, physical disabilities, mental health conditions and people with more complex needs.

What is the Difference between supported living and a residential home?

In residential care you are a resident in the care home, there is a more standardised level of care. You would have little involvement with choice about your support.  This type of care may affect your benefits and the amount of disposable income you will receive.

In supported living you would have a tenancy agreement where you would have more control and involvement with the tenancy and choice of where you live. You would have more involvement, for example, who you would like to live with, choice about your support staff and the times they support you. Residing in supported living your benefits would continue with no restrictions of where you live this may give you a more disposable Income.

Choosing supported living or a residential home is a personal choice and it depends on what you are looking for, your needs, wishes and goals.
