Over 4000 athletes are set to represent more than 150 nations across 22 sports, including wheelchair tennis, para swimming and sitting volleyball, to name just a few. So many inspiring athletes to support, here’s just a few that we will be rooting for over the summer…
David Smith, diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy aged 1, began playing Boccia at 6 years old which quickly became his passion. Now a three time paralympic gold medal winner in Boccia, can David make it four?
Hannah Cockroft OBE is well known within the wheelchair racing circuit. She has won a grand total of seven gold medals at previous Paralympics. We will be watching to see how quickly she makes it over the finish line this year.
